Introduction to FIS Solidarity
The basic philosophy for support from FIS Solidarity is to contribute towards assisting special projects or activities that are not part of the regular day-to-day work of a National Ski Association and for which the applicant has shown initiative and efforts in obtaining support from other sources.
FIS Solidarity programme is designed to assist active National Ski Associations with the development of the sport in their country. Support is specifically targeted at those Member Associations who do not profit from the income generated through rights for the organisation of World Cup races or through sponsorship for their National Ski Teams. Additionally contributions to projects from National Ski Associations which serve the development of the sport as a whole will be considered.

FIS Solidarity / FIS Aid & Promotion Support
Allocate FIS Solidarity support / FIS Aid & Promotion funding to projects fitting criteria for "Bring Children to the Snow".
The FIS Council approved in November 2008 in Levi the proposed plan for the activation and implementation of projects in the programme "Bring Children to the Snow". Consequently, the Council decided that activities related to Bring Children to the Snow shall be given first priority for FIS Solidarity support.
The existing FIS Solidarity and Aid&Promotion programmes offer existing structures for channeling funds to projects that effectively help "bring children to the snow".
Solidarity applications for projects in the area "Bring Children to the Snow" shall be given first priority. As a consequence, the assessment criteria are to be modified accordingly:
- Priority 1: "Bring Children to the Snow" projects. General ski sport promotion for children (including support of infrastructure, equipment, education etc)
- Priority 2: Promote competitive level activities for children
- Priority 3: Previous criteria concerning support for infrastructure projects
